Adjustable Angle Connector Brass for 2" O.D. Tubing (00-822/2)

Ball fittings are used to construct handrails, footrails, stair rails, bar rails, ballet rails, and many other metal railing systems. The vertical posts of the railings should be made with a continuous architectural metal tube (for strength) while the horizontals are cut and fit with architectural hardware between posts. Our ball fittings may be available in a variety of finishes not usually found in traditional brass fittings, including white, stainless steel, and more.

Material:

  • Polished Brass

Wall Thickness:

  • .050"

Estimated Lead time:  3-5 business days before shipment.

Stair landings and sloped-to-level transitions rarely offer a standard angle — this two-piece pivot connector doesn't need one. Set the angle between two 2" OD railing tubes on site, lock it once it's right, and the joint holds. Polished brass, sized for 2" OD tubing with a .050" wall thickness.

Description

Some runs don't land on a neat angle. When a rail follows a stair pitch, a curve, or a sloped-to-level transition, a fitting cast to one fixed angle simply won't sit flush. The 822-2 connector solves that with a two-piece pivot joint: set the join angle by hand during installation to match exactly what the run needs, then lock it in place. Each end accepts a 2" OD railing tube with.050" wall thickness. It's finished in polished brass, at home on a warm traditional rail or a brass restoration. Because you dial the angle in on-site, one part covers the odd transitions that would otherwise mean a custom bend — whether you're fitting a single staircase or a longer run. It sits in the Universal Connectors line, so it pairs with matching brass fittings across the same family.
