Our ball fittings are used to construct handrails, footrails, stair rails, bar rails, ballet rails, and many other metal railing systems. The vertical posts of the railings should be made with a continuous architectural metal tube (for strength) while the horizontals are cut and fit with architectural hardware between posts. Ball fittings may be available in a variety of finishes not usually found in traditional brass fitting, including stainless steel, and more.

On the largest tube size, this Side Outlet El sends the rail in three directions from a single ball: the 2" OD run turns 90° while a third outlet exits perpendicular, all cast as one decorative joint. Choose polished brass, polished 304 stainless, or satin 304 stainless to match the rest of the rail line.
Description
On a 2" OD rail, the Side Outlet El combines the corner and the branch: the rail turns 90° while a third outlet takes a post or second rail at a right angle to the turn, all cast into one ball. The three tube ends seat inside the fitting, which holds every angle — the straight runs are simply cut to length. It serves a stair, a landing, or a bar rail return, in polished brass, polished 304 stainless, or satin 304 stainless, and pairs with the matching elbows, tees, and single-outlet fittings in the same 2" ball line.
