An Internal Splice is used to connect tubing together. It is placed on the interior of 2 tubes and is hidden. Therefore, the finish does not need to match the tubes.

At the most common railing size, this brass splice (00-830/1H) joins multi-section runs: it slips inside two 1.5" OD tube ends and draws them into one continuous line. The brass deforms just enough for a friction fit in brass, chrome, or stainless tubing. Splicing is quick, with minimal tooling required.
Description
One size up from the smallest splice, the 830-1H handles the most common railing diameter: it slips inside two 1.5" OD tube ends and locks them end-to-end inline, so a stair, balcony, or guardrail reads as a single rail rather than separate lengths. The soft brass deforms slightly for a friction fit, gripping the inside of the tube for quick installation — and because of that brass build, one splice works across brass, chrome, or stainless steel tubing, including a 316 stainless run near the coast. It pairs with the 1.5" round tubing and matching fittings in the same line.
