Pre-assembly shortens the installation: this low saddle post for heavier 2-inch OD rail fastens directly to its base surface with the tube cradled in the saddle on top, and there are no components to build up on site. In 316 satin stainless steel, it is made for salt-air and wet exterior conditions.
Description
Pre-assembly is the point of this post: stem, mounting plate, and saddle arrive as one part, cradling a 2-inch OD handrail or bar rail in the saddle at the top of a short stem fastened to its base plate. Built in 316 satin stainless steel for salt air and constant moisture, it serves exposed outdoor rails at the larger diameter — a pier or dockside walkway, a 2-inch bar or counter rail on an oceanfront patio, or a public path along the water. The low saddle profile holds the rail close to the mounting surface for standard installations at 2-inch OD.
