Ball 135 degree Side Outlet Ell Brass for 1.5" O.D. Tubing (00-708/1H)
Our ball fittings are used to construct handrails, footrails, stair rails, bar rails, ballet rails, and many other metal railing systems. The vertical posts of the railings should be made with a continuous architectural metal tube (for strength) while the horizontals are cut and fit with architectural hardware between posts. Ball fittings may be available in a variety of finishes not usually found in traditional brass fitting, including stainless steel, and more.
All ball fittings are supplied with self-drilling, self-tapping hardware.

Turning a 1.5" OD brass handrail past the right-angle mark while a perpendicular tube joins at the same point, the 135° Side Outlet El handles both connections at once. Three outlets in one cast ball resolve the junction as a single decorative fitting rather than a stack of separate parts. Finished in warm, traditional polished brass.
Description
Not every landing turns at a square 90°. The Ball 135° Side Outlet El joins a 1.5" OD rail at a 135° corner and adds a third outlet for a perpendicular branch — useful where a stair rail bends at the shallower landing angle and a post or secondary rail meets the same point. Three tube ends seat inside the cast ball, so you cut the straight runs and let the fitting hold the angles — no exact corner measuring. Cast in polished brass for traditional and restoration rails, it works with the matching 135° and 90° ball fittings in the same 1.5" line so an angled run stays consistent.
