Our ball fittings are used to construct handrails, footrails, stair rails, bar rails, ballet rails, and many other metal railing systems. The vertical posts of the railings should be made with a continuous architectural metal tube (for strength) while the horizontals are cut and fit with architectural hardware between posts. Ball fittings may be available in a variety of finishes not usually found in traditional brass fitting, including stainless steel, and more.

Description
Sometimes you want the ball detail along a straight run, not just at the corners. The Ball Parallel Outlet joins two in-line 1.5" OD tubes end to end with a decorative cast ball between them, so a rail keeps its straight line while picking up the traditional ball accent — handy mid-run or where two lengths meet along a stair or bar rail. The tube ends seat inside the fitting, so you cut the two lengths and let the ball close the joint. Cast in polished brass to match a traditional brass rail, it works with the matching elbows, tees, and single-outlet fittings in the same 1.5" ball line so the accent repeats cleanly along the run.
