Ball Side Outlet Cross Brass for 1.5" O.D. Tubing (00-707/1H)
Our ball fittings are used to construct handrails, footrails, stair rails, bar rails, ballet rails, and many other metal railing systems. The vertical posts of the railings should be made with a continuous architectural metal tube (for strength) while the horizontals are cut and fit with architectural hardware between posts. Ball fittings may be available in a variety of finishes not usually found in traditional brass fitting, including stainless steel, and more.
All ball fittings are supplied with self-drilling, self-tapping hardware.

The Ball Side Outlet Cross handles the busiest intersection in a brass rail: five 1.5" OD tubes meeting at a single point — a flat four-way cross plus a perpendicular outlet in a sixth direction — all in one cast fitting with a decorative ball at the center. It's for a true 3D junction where rails cross and a post or branch also ties in. Five tube ends seat inside the ball, so the pieces it joins don't need exact end cuts — set the straight runs and let the fitting fix every angle at once. Cast in polished brass for traditional and restoration work, it pairs with the matching crosses, tees, and elbows in the same 1.5" ball line.
