At the 2-inch OD size, the Undrilled Saddle Post mounts a brass handrail by cradling the round tube in a saddle on top, with a base plate that ships with no pre-drilled holes at the larger tube size. That opens two options. First, drill on site to match a non-standard hole pattern, useful for a heavier brass handrail restoration that must line up with original mounting points. Second, keep the plate clean-faced and conceal the fasteners under the base for a tidier look on a bold brass handrail. Cast in polished brass as one pre-assembled piece, it's the simpler alternative to the modular undrilled saddle post at 2-inch OD.
